Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Include the Fan-Favorite Cross-Dressing Scene

Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake is, hands-down, one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2020. The fact that it will come early means that it will set the standard for the rest of the year (or be a giant disappointment, I dunno). Since the entire game will be set in Midgar, many were wondering if their favorite moments would stay intact, especially since some new parts will be added to flesh out the story.

Well, fear not silly lovers! Remake co-director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed to Famitsu (via Gematsu) that the hilarious cross-dressing event where Cloud dresses up like a girl to save Tifa will remain intact. This is great news for a lot of people since recent interpretations of Cloud have made him more of a badass and less of a goofball, which he kind of was in the original game.

I mean, he was still edgier than Shadow the Hedgehog, but he wasn't immune to some silly moments throughout the game.

Hopefully, this event goes more in-depth and has Cloud looking super embarrassed, which will be really fun to see. It will be even better if he wins, which was an option in the original game and should be one as well for the new title. Either way, let's all thank Nomura for not making the Final Fantasy VII Remake too, well, cool.

Final Fantasy VII Remake comes out on March 3, 2020, for the PlayStation 4.
