Final Fantasy VII Remake Delay Will Make It a PS4 Exclusive Longer

Square Enix broke the hearts of many fans when it was announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake would be delayed, even if it's only for one month. The company has given us much harsher delays, with Marvel's Avengers getting delayed from April to September, while Final Fantasy XV was delayed multiple times before it was finally released. Unfortunately for Xbox One and PC fans, the delay of Final Fantasy VII Remake means it will be a PS4 exclusive longer.

Thanks to Siliconera, we can confirm that the game will now be a PS4 exclusive until April 10, 2021. This is disappointing news since fans with other game consoles already have to wait a full year from March but now they have to wait until next April. Honestly, that is way worse than us PS4 gamers waiting for Final Fantasy VII Remake a month longer than expected.

It really is a shame since Microsoft is trying their best to bring more Japanese games to their consoles, with Phantasy Star Online 2 and the other Kingdom Hearts titles coming to Xbox One. Granted, the Xbox One does have a number of good third-party games and exclusives to play over Final Fantasy VII Remake, with some even arguing that Xbox gamers don't like Japanese RPGs but it's still a bit disappointing.

Oh well, it still looks pretty awesome. We're all hoping that Final Fantasy VII Remake lives up to our expectations and wins all of the awards. Hopefully, the other installments don't take too long. The game is coming to PS4 on April 10.
