Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete 4K Blu-ray and Digital Coming This Year


In 2009, the 2005 film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was updated with a complete edition that includes around 26 minutes of bonus footage. This year, the Complete edition is getting an upgrade to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray + Digital, and it's now available for preorder on Amazon for $30.99. It's set to release on June 8, 2021.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is a 2005 Japanese computer-animated film directed by Tetsuya Nomura, and it takes place two years following the events of the hit 1997 RPG game Final Fantasy VII, during which the villain Sephiroth attempted to absorb the Livestream (the lifeblood and soul of the planet) and be reborn as a god.

"Continuing the storyline based on the hit Playstation game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace. A mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir. And Cloud, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again."

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be released for 4K Blu-ray + Digital on June 8, 2021.
