Far Cry 6 Official Trailer Highlights Anton Castillo's Chilling Lesson to His Son

It's official; Far Cry 6 is coming next year and we now have a trailer for the highly-anticipated video game. Interestingly, it puts the focus on Giancarlo Esposito's villainous Anton Castillo and the chilling lesson he imparts on his young son.

The trailer opens with the nation of Yara in chaos while young Diego Castillo (Anthony Gonzalez) listens to his music and tinkers with a car model. Soon, his father enters the room and says he has a present for the teenager. Anton then places a grenade into his son's hands, explains its parts and swiftly removes the pin. Diego is understandably nervous but Anton explains that the grenade will not explode as long as he keeps his hand firmly on the handle.

Anton then orders his son to follow him and as they head out to the balcony, it is revealed that the uprising against Anton is getting crazier. The dictator then shows his son that the grenade has been thrown at them by the rebels who he claims believe that Diego is evil like him. Needless to say, this lesson concludes with Anton letting the boy decide whether to let go of the grenade or not.

The official description for Far Cry 6 reads as follows:

"Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Become a guerrilla fighter and burn their regime to the ground."

Far Cry 6 was officially announced at Ubisoft Forward. The title is currently in development and will be released on February 18, 2021.
