Fans Are Extremely Upset That Disney Let Frozen’s Short Film Play Before Coco

Frozen certainly made an impact when it released back in 2013. Not only did the film rake in positive reviews, it also earned commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing animated movies of all time.

Knowing the film's popularity, fans expected Disney's Frozen short to wow audiences when it premiered during Coco's premiere, however, it seems like a lot of moviegoers felt a bit frustrated with Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

Apparently, viewers didn't like the fact that the short had to come out right before Coco, feeling like the Frozen short film had intruded in the Pixar film's screening. Some even felt a bit confused, thinking that they had gotten into the wrong cinema. Not only did viewers feel like Olaf's Frozen Adventure was inane and unnecessary, they also felt like the film was just too long for pleasure.

Exasperated by the short film's 20-minute long runtime, fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure.

While some complained about Olaf's Frozen Adventure's length, others went and complained about how cringy it was, and how Disney must have probably thought that no one was going to watch a movie about a Mexican boy searching for the spirit of a dead grandparent, so they should better insert a lengthy snowman short film to help bring in movie goers.

Given fans' reactions, it won't be surprising if Disney decides to pull Olaf's Frozen Adventure out of cinemas. There's a right place for everything, and inserting Olaf's short during the screening of Coco just missed the spot.

Coco is currently screening in cinemas.
