Fallout 4 has already proven to be a huge success, but that doesn't mean that developer Bethesda is planning to slow down any time soon. The studio will keep working on updates and expansions for their massive open-world RPG, but they still have a lot of ideas for their next project. Fallout 4 director Todd Howard was interviewed by Wired, and was asked if he would ever work on something small, in comparison to Skyrim and Fallout 4. His response indicated that he plans to continue making ambitious open-world games:
"The timing of your question, because we just wrapped up Fallout 4, I definitely need a break. But that's normal. And after that, I just see so many things that we could do. I like to make big games, the team likes to make big games We have lots of ideas. We plan on taking a break and coming back and finding out where those ideas take us. But no – we definitely don't plan on making small things."
The creative genius of Todd Howard and the team at Bethesda is sure to make more amazing games, and I look forward to seeing what the next big thing will be from this studio. It's too bad that Howard didn't reveal any more information about the company's new ideas, but if Fallout 4 and Skyrim are any indication, the future game will probably be awesome. Fans can at least be assured that the next project from Bethesda will be a large, ambitious game, much like the previous titles that earned the studio so much success.
