Ex Machina Director Wants To Make A Swamp Thing Film

Alex Garland has gained quite a reputation in recent years, with films like Ex Machina and Dredd gaining a lot of praise. This is why everyone is looking forward to his upcoming sci-fi film Annihilation, with everyone having high hopes for it. Garland recently went to Reddit for a Q and A to interact with fans, revealing that there is a comic book character he would love to bring to the big screen; Swamp Thing.

Garland didn't give a deep explanation as to why he would want to make a Swamp Thing film. The director was really blunt about his answer, despite not providing many details. That being said, given how some of his comic book films have worked out, it would be a perfect match.

Comic book fans who have seen Dredd have had nothing but kind words to say about it, so one can only imagine what he could do for the DC character. Many even like his Constantine film, despite Keanu Reeves not looking a thing like the comic character. How he isn't in the running for DC's Justice League Dark is a mystery and Warner Bros. needs to work on that ASAP.

Fans have to wait a long time before the live-action Justice League Dark comes out. In the meantime, there is the animated Justice League Dark film that fans can check out, not to mention the graphic novels. DC also released a Swamp Thing Winter Special last week, which all fans of the character should check out.
