"You can't stop what's coming. Death always wins."

A lot of Stephen King fans would tell you that The Dark Tower is his best work, it's his magnum opus that brings many of his other works in one universe. Although the film isn't considered a direct adaptation of King's series of books, it was confirmed to be a sequel. This new featurette includes more commentary from Stephen King himself as he reminds us why The Dark Tower is his magnum opus. It's also packed with epic new footage that will get you hyped to see the ongoing conflict between Roland Deschain (Idris Elba) and The Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey). The battle is basically good vs. evil.

Around the one-minute mark, you'd also get a glimpse of a monstrous creature that many are speculating to be the Speaking Demon. The premise may sound simple but the action sequences look spectacular. Watch the featurette below:

Synopsis:

The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World's last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World's post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.

Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, the film also stars Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Tirana; Fran Kranz (The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli, the right hand man of Randall Flagg; Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen); Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) and Claudia Kiim (Avengers: Age of Ultron).

The Dark Tower is set to release in theaters on August 4.
