Epic Fantasy Authors J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin Diss Each Other in Epic Rap Battle of History

The Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkien paved the way for epic fantasy authors like George R.R. Martin, but the author of the Song of Ice and Fire books broke a lot of tropes from traditional Tolkien-esque medieval fantasy. Nonetheless, it's easy for fans to compare both authors and argue whose works are more compelling. They're both great in their own way, but I'm a bigger fan of Martin's books because I think his plots and characters are more complex and developed compared to Tolkien's Black Hats vs. White Hats tropes.

The team at Epic Rap Battles of History made those points clear in their latest video, where we see the two authors hilariously clash but instead of swords and sorcery, they use their wicked rhymes and literary wit to diss each other's works. Watch the video below:
