Emlia Clarke, the Game of Thrones star who signed a no-nudity clause, had to do a naked scene in one of television's most nudey shows. How did she do it? Vodka, apparently.
The 29-year-old English actress revealed that she had no problem stripping off for HBO's hit epic fantasy series – after a quick drink and some technical help.
Clarke, who pays Daenerys Targaryen in the epic, recalls "All I needed was vodka and some flattering lighting and I was ready", reports The Sun.
And some fans were totally surprised by the full frontal nudity scene
Emlia also said that the drastic change in opinion was "empowering" for her, especially when Daenerys walked through an inferno to emerge naked — a scene similar to Season 1's ending.
"It was just a wonderful, strong moment I wanted to own, a real empowering, girl-power wow scene. I was so thrilled with it. It's not a sexy scene, she's not naked for no reason, it's not gratuitous. She's naked because she's just destroyed her enemies in this almighty blaze after they underestimated her."
Emlia went against the issue of nudity before, and when fellow Game of Thrones star Oona Chaplin, said that she refused to strip her clothes off in the show, she respoded heavily saying, "I wan't to be known for my acting, not my breasts."
Game of Thrones airs on Sunday at 9 p.m. EST.
