Elizabeth Olsen Doesn't Think Scarlet Witch is Getting a Solo Film

Despite only appearing in two Marvel films, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch has proven to be a vital member of the Avengers. The character is going to have a quiet life with The Vision until Thanos appears, forcing the superpowered couple to save the world one more time. It's clear that both characters have important roles for Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel.

However, fans shouldn't expect it to lead to a solo Scarlet Witch film, as the actress doesn't think it's going to happen anytime soon. And she seems perfectly fine with that.

Olsen appeared on the Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino podcast and seemingly stated that she's in the MCU for the long haul. However, she doesn't seem to be too interested in a solo film for the character and doesn't think Marvel has plans for it.

"We are at ground zero...It's definitely not something I'm pushing. I don't know if it's something they're going to push either. Paul Bettany and I joke about having like a domestic television show on Netflix or something...It would just be like house event, where Scarlet Witch goes bananas. That's what we joke about, but I don't think either of those things are happening. I'm happy that I'm still around and they still use me well, and that's fine."

This might disappoint fans of Olsen or the Scarlet Witch but it doesn't seem like the hero is ready for a solo flick. While she's had a few great scenes in Age of Ultron and Civil War, the character hasn't been built up properly for a solo film, especially when compared to characters like Black Widow, Gamora, and The Wasp.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27.
