Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Is In Love With Mark Hamill

Sure there might be some fans who disagree with how writer/director Rhian Johnson wrote Luke Skywalker's character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, however there's also been a lot of praise for Mark Hamill's performance in the sequel trilogy installment, with many considering his acting in the film one of the best portrayals of Luke in a long while.

Hamill's also getting a lot of nods from Hollywood action star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on Twitter, with the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star openly calling Hamill his hero on social media. Earlier this week, The Rock decided to share news about how Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has started overtaking The Last Jedi in the race to becoming the top grossing movie in cinemas for the new year.

"About a month ago my Jedi hero @HamillHimself said ‘the Jumanji force is strong," he tweeted in homage to Hamill. "Nice win for the Jumanji team and win for me because I actually had a Twitter exchange with Luke-Skywalker. #Hero," the action star gushed.

The Rock seems like a pretty big Star Wars fan, but this isn't exactly the first time he's mentioned how much he loves Hamill. Back in December, he also went gushing about the autograph the Star Wars legend gave one of his friends.

Of course, it's easy to see why Johnson loves Hamill so much. Not only has the Star Wars actor inspired many by playing Luke Skywalker, he's also voiced a lot of iconic characters for DC, all the while keeping his good-natured and playful personality online. Hamill is a Star Wars troll, and it's so fun watching him make fun of the fanbase online.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
