Dwayne Johnson Teases Black Adam’s Surprise Debut In The DCEU

DC fans have been expecting Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to burst into cinemas as Black Adam in Warner Bros. 2019 Shazam! for quite some time now, however it seems like the wrestler-turned-actor may be debuting in the DC Extended Universe a little sooner than expected.

While speaking in an interview with Fandango about his upcoming film Baywatch, Johnson decided to tease fans by saying that he and the studio have a pretty big surprise for everyone.

"It's definitely going to happen, sure. We've had great conversations with Geoff Johns and everyone over at DC. It's an exciting time right now for everyone at DC because they are in a process now where they are building out [their DC universe] really nicely. We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can't reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam being introduced."

Warner Bros. probably just can't wait to have The Rock suit up as Black Adam in the DCEU. Now that Johnson has officially declared his character's early debut, there's no doubt that fans will be busy coming up with theories as to which film he'll appear in first. Last year the Hollywood action star did share a photo of himself with Henry Cavill, so our bet is that Black Adam might squeeze in a few minutes with Superman in Justice League. We'll have to wait and see.

Justice League premieres on Nov. 17, 2017 while Shazam! is scheduled for release on April 5, 2019.
