Dragon Ball Super Synopsis Teases Gohan's Next Big Battle

Warning: Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super ahead.

With only two universes remaining in the Tournament of Power, fans are expecting to see more epic battles between the remaining fighters of Universe 7 and Universe 11's Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo. We already know that Vegeta and Goku will be fighting Jiren in the next episode (122) but it looks like Gohan will also have an intense battle with one of Universe 11's members.

A batch of Dragon Ball Super synopses recently surfaced in Japan (via Reddit). Animedia's latest issue revealed the summary for episode 124. The synopsis of "A Stormy, Fierce Attack! Gohan Fights with his Back to the Wall!!" included a blurb which you can read below:

"Universe 7's Son Gohan goes to help out Frieza as he battles Universe 11's Dyspo."

We already know from the episode 122 preview that Frieza will battle Dyspo, the Pride Trooper with extraordinary speed but it looks like the villain will need the help of one of his Universe 7 teammates to survive the tournament.

If Dragon Ball Super continues its trend of giving Universe 7 fighters their moments to shine and eliminating them after, this could be a bad sign for Gohan. At that point, Android 17 is probably already eliminated. That leaves only four remaining Universe 7 fighters: Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Gohan. One or two of them will probably be eliminated before the final showdown against JIren. Now, I'm wondering who Toppo will fight or how the Pride Troopers will be defeated. Some spoilers about the result of Jiren and Vegeta's battle in episode 122 were recently leaked but Vegeta probably won't be eliminated in the next three episodes, at least not yet.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
