The latest Dragon Ball Super episode saw Master Roshi fighting the Universe 6 warrior Frost in the Tournament of Power. The fight ended with Roshi being eliminated from the tournament but Frost had nothing to do with Roshi's departure from the competition.
Frost expected Roshi to lose easily after Universe 7's chaotic battle with Universe 4, but the Roshi didn't hold back. He unleashed two Evil Containment Waves against the Universe 6 villain, and he even releases Vegeta from the powerful move after it was redirected to the Saiyan.
Roshi destroys Vegeta's vessel, breaking him free from the Evil Containment Seal. Vegeta looks to Roshi who looks drained on the arena's floor, and the Saiyan tells him that the fight was for him and that Roshi needs to disqualify himself from the Tournament if he wants to live. Roshi agrees, so he throws himself off the arena's edge to eliminate himself from the tournament. Krillin immediately gives Roshi a Senzu bean to keep him alive.
Now, Goku's Universe 7 team has one less member after Roshi's elimination. Right now, there are 7 members in his team, but the next episode hints that another might be eliminated as well. There's a preview for Dragon Ball Super's next episode that suggests that Gohan will be in trouble after Frieza betrays his own team.
Here's the synopsis for the anime's current saga:
