Warning: Spoilers ahead

The 34th chapter of the Dragon Ball Super recently came out, and it included more details the anime didn't show. It featured Frieza's apparent team-up with Universe 6's Frost. Just when Frost thought that Frieza is on his side, Frieza blasted him away, and he tells Gohan about his motives after saving him.

"Save your gratitude," Freeza tells Gohan "It's all for naught unless we win and survive. That's when I'll deal with you Saiyans myself."

Despite not double-crossing the Universe 7 in the tournament, this dialogue proves that Frieza still plans to wipe out the Saiyans himself. He needed to be resurrected to eradicate the Saiyans so he decided to play be on Universe 7's side for now so he can pull off his evil plans.

Dragon Ball Super is available for streaming on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST.
