Dragon Ball Super: Broly First Trailer Finally Released

Toei Animation

Toei Animation has finally released the first full trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie, and it features the return and canonization of the villainous Saiyan, Broly!

The story will take place after the Tournament of Power, and it shows Goku and Vegeta going to an icy planet, and that's where they meet Broly. As you can see, this version of Broly is quite different from the character we've seen from the non-canon Dragon Ball Z films. He has a scar on his face, which was lacking in the original version.

The trailer teases the epic battles to expect in the film. Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza will fight Broly, and it looks like the Saiyan villain has an insanely powerful form with raging green ki.

One of my favorite moments in this trailer is seeing that Frieza is still part of Goku's crew. The popular villain introduced in Dragon Ball Z teamed-up with Goku in the final moment of Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power, so I'm glad that the film is continuing that.

The twentieth Dragon Ball film is set to release in Japanese theaters this December and will arrive in U.S. theaters in January 2019.
