Last week, Lucasfilm officially announced that Donald Glover has been cast to play the young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo film directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and for the first time since that news, Glover has spoken out about the role.
When Glover recently appeared on Ellen, and asked about the news, he said that Lando and Darth Vader were among the first toys he received as a child and revealed his parents' reactions to the news.
Glover was referring to his high school photo of himself wearing a Star Wars shirt that's been being spread online ever since the casting announcement. Check it out:
Glover will star alongside Alden Eirenreich, who will play the young Han Solo. The untitled spinoff film is slated to release on May 25, 2018.
