Donald Glover Shares Pages of His Script for Cancelled Deadpool Series

Donald Glover is one busy guy. Aside from creating and starring in FX series Atlanta, he also has to keep up his music career as Childish Gambino, and he's in the upcoming Star Wars movie. Glover was also developing a Deadpool animated series for FX which was just recently cancelled, and Glover has decided to share some pages of the script he had ready for the finale.

You can read the whole thread on his Twitter account.

While some people think that the show was cancelled because Glover had too many ongoing projects, he confirms that it wasn't the case. We don't know exactly why FX didn't decide to go forward with the show, but maybe they wanted the character to be more akin to that of Ryan Reynolds' version of Deadpool.

Flipping through the pages, it seems clear that Glover's version of the character is significantly different from how Ryan Reynolds does Wade Wilson. For one, it seems that the character speaks more dominantly in street lingo, and I honestly couldn't understand half of the references that were being tossed around.

If the Glover really believes in this version of the character, I can imagine some other network that would like to pick it up. Netflix already has a lot of mature Marvel shows, and maybe Adult Swim might like to give it a shot. If anything, Glover still has a lot of work when it comes to Atlanta and his music career.

The animated Deadpool may not be happening soon, but the live-action Deadpool 2 hits theaters May 18.
