The doctor is in Marvel Future Fight, and he's bringing all the mystic arts that comes with being the Sorcerer Supreme. Not to mention a couple of fighters including Wong and prodigy Clea.
Netmarble Development Director Cho Doohyun shared with Marvel just how Doctor Strange will bring magic into the fight.
This will be in the form of an Epic Quest. It will contain some mechanics and aspects to play and train Doctor Strange using the storyline of the quest, with the goal of also understanding what Doctor Strange is all about—a good introduction for fans who may not be too familiar with Doctor Strange's role in the entire Marvel universe.
In the Epic Quest, there will be some familiar faces, especially for those looking to catch Doctor Strange in the cinemas. There's Doctor Strange, The Ancient One, Baron Mordo, Wong, badass Kaecilius, Satana, Hellstorm, Clea, and more. The quest will also introduce a new game mode dubbed Memory Mission, which will be utilized to train Satana, Hellstorm, and Clea.
"You can think of Epic Quest as a Doctor Strange-exclusive mini game inside the Marvel Future Fight game. I think most players would be excited about Doctor Strange. Personally, I'm a big fan of both Wong and Clea. Clea has exciting skills, so I have big expectations for her."
The changes in Marvel Future Fight are not limited to new areas featuring Doctor Strange. There's also some new updates for Shadowland and Alliance Battle. Shadowland now features a new mechanic, where players can fight against each other for the top rank of the throne. Clearing the 25th floor first will be the Master of the Hand, and anyone else who completes that level will be able to challenge the current Master for the Throne.
As for the Alliance Battle, the creators had added a redesign. This was done by way of an Extreme Mode, which awards points based on players' skill. This way, players are incentivized for larger variety of characters.
The updates are already ready in Marvel Future Fight. But as a teaser, Doohyun did tease that there will be more amazing characters and stories coming. There's a hint of Asgard, so make sure to stay tuned.
