ScreenJunkies is at it again with a new Honest Trailer for Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange. Though the movie as a visual effects masterpiece, some can't help but admit that it did have story issues and contained too many clichés from the usual MCU formula.
Though I loved the introduction to the Marvel Mystic, I still thought Doctor Strange could have done more with the story — considering that it was just a rehash of Iron Man but with magic instead of science.
I thought casting and overall aesthetic were wonderful, but I kind of wanted to see more of Strange before his accident, and maybe more character motivation from Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen). He used to have a family, right? Maybe his journey would have been to unite the dimensions in order to get back to his wife and child? I think that would be better than just wanting to be "eternal."
We'll get to see more of Stephen Strange (hopefully) in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok set to come out on Nov. 3.
