Doctor Strange is Also Passing Up On The Infinity Stones

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 fans were already told that they shouldn't count on finding any of the Infinity Stones—hinted or otherwise—in the movie. And for upcoming Doctor Strange, the same thing seems to be case.

Speaking to Comicbook.com, Marvel's Kevin Feige confirmed that even though Infinity Stones play at Doctor Strange's storyline, this won't in the movie.

"If you're tracking such things [Infinity Stones], perhaps but we don't get into it in this movie. It's close; you can look at for as long as you want. Again, there's a lot to take in this movie, there's a lot of new concepts, there's a lot of new characters, there's a lot of new mythologies that we didn't want to clutter up by talking about other [mcguffins]."

This seems to be consistent with how Marvel chose to treat Doctor Strange. From the get-go, it's introducing magic into the mix, where you already have science experiments gone wrong, mechanical suits, Asgardian gods, aliens around the galaxy, and a then-frozen superhuman from the World War II.

Additionally, Feige has also recently confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe won't play too much in Doctor Strange. At best, there will be references, but it will be business as usual for the arrogant neurosurgeon. Of course, until the accident gets the better of him.

Doctor Strange will be out in theaters on Nov. 14. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, and Mads Mikkelsen.
