Doctor Strange Appearing In Spider-Man PS4?

Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac Games is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives for both gamers and comic book fans. Not tied to any films and featuring a beautiful open-world, it has excited many a fan hoping to find the next game that finally dethrones the Spider-Man 2 tie-in game. It looks like Insomniac is going full bore with fan service, making Mary Jane a playable character for the first time and teasing fans with a possible Doctor Strange appearance.

Eagle-eyed fans in Reddit looked at the most recent trailer of the game and were surprised to see the Sanctum Sanctorum that belongs to Doctor Stephen Strange. While the Sorcerer Supreme hasn't been shown, seeing his magic-filled home teased has got fans buzzing. Only time will tell if we see Strange in the game, but fans would love it if he appeared.

Doctor Strange and Spider-Man have had plenty of team-ups in comics. This might be due to the fact that they were co-created by Steve Ditko, who helped establish the identities of these characters with his unique art style. Oddly enough, Strange has yet to appear in a Spider-Man game. We've seen Daredevil, Punisher, Human Torch, Captain America, and Black Widow in a number of Spider-Man games, but not Strange. However, both characters can be paired up in the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.

No release date for Marvel's Spider-Man has been announced. The game will come out in 2018 for the PS4.
