Dissidia Final Fantasy to Get FFIV Stage Update

Fans of Dissidia Final Fantasy will be getting a new update this month.

Square Enix announced that those who are enjoying the game via the arcade version can expect a new drop on July 12. This was announced during a Tokyo livestream (via DualShockers).

The announcement also confirmed that a new stage from the Final Fantasy IV will be part of the update. The level will take from the Lunar Subterrane, with the new addition expected to be called Tsuki no Keikoku.

The developer announced the new stage with an accompanying trailer, seen below. The stage is a shout out to the scenario that plays out during the final scenes in Final Fantasy IV. A closer look at the trailer would show hints of the vehicle that led to the landing on the moon.

For fans who are waiting to play Dissidia Final Fantasy on the PS4, the new stage will also arrive on the new platform. This is a nice addition, which follows an earlier update of the Exdeath from last May. It looks like Square Enix is set on keeping the game beefed up with new updates.

The trailer below also shows the battle between Cecil and Kain, to get you hyped. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on the PS4 will be out sometime in early 2018.
