Disney's Live-Action Beauty and the Beast is the Most Watched Trailer Ever


Tthe first full trailer for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast movie was released this Monday, and apparently, it has stolen the hearts of fans.

In the 24 hours after its premiere, the new trailer got a whopping 127.6 million views around the world, which is way more than any other trailer ever. It beat the record, surpassing the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Fifty Shades Darker

Josh Gad, the actor who plays Lefou told EW: "Look, there's a lot of buzz surrounding Frozen 2, there's buzz surrounding other things I've been involved with. But, this, there's such curiosity, joy, excitement, and buzz about a film that's two years away still. That's an enormous amount of pressure, actually, but also something that we all take very seriously. Every day we're making this movie, we know what the bar is, and we're trying to match that bar, if not exceed it in some ways. So we're very well aware of that."

The film is directed by Bill Gordon, and also stars Kevin Kline as Belle's father, Maurice; Ewan McGregor as Lumière; Ian McKellen as Cogsworth; Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts; Luke Evans as Gaston; Josh Gad as Le Fou; and more.

Beauty and the Beast will be released in theaters on March 17.
