I absolutely loved Wreck-It Ralph when it came out back in 2012, and I can't believe we would have waited six years by the time the sequel hits theaters. Disney has just announced the official title for Ralph's next adventure, and the title? Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.
The title was confirmed by Disney via Twitter, and it came with an animation that seems to tease what the movie will explore.
This time around, Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) will be scouring across the World Wide Web after a WiFi router is installed in their arcade. No further details have been revealed about the plot, but it's very possible that Ralph will find himself interacting with modern app games like Candy Crush and Angry Birds, jumping around from various smartphones. Also, the movie will be taking place in real-time, meaning sequel will time jump to about six years as well.
A lot of the main cast is set to return for the film including Jack McBrayer as Fix-It Felix and Jane Lynch as Sergeant Calhoun. Seeing as Alan Tudyk's character died in the first movie, it's still possible that he'll be brought back to voice someone else. After all, he is to Disney Animation what John Ratzenberger is to Pixar.
Rich Moore returns to the director's chair, and Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 comes out on March 9, 2018.
