Disney Pixar's Coco: Fun Clip Has A Battle Of The Bands In The Afterlife

This Wednesday will see the release of Disney Pixar's Coco and we have a new clip from the movie involving this fun "battle of the bands" scene. Check it out:

Based on the trailers, the lead character Miguel is a huge fan of late musician Ernesto de la Cruz, and this battle of the bands event is what will probably get him that audience. It's been hinted at in the trailers, and I think Ernesto will turn out to be his grandfather.

When the first trailers for the movie came out, a lot of people were saying that Coco looked a lot like The Book of Life from 2014, what with the theme of The Day of the Dead and both protagonists having a strong affinity for playing guitars and entering the afterlife. Early reviews, however, say that this movie actually pulls it off, and has that signature Pixar touch of emotional moments.

Here's the movie synopsis:

Despite his family's baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.

Disney Pixar's Coco hits theaters this Wednesday Nov. 22.
