Disney Channel Is Moving Forward With A That's So Raven Spinoff

Has it really been 10 years? Disney Channel's That's So Raven was one of the strongest shows in the network, spanning 100 episodes from 2003 to 2007. News has it that Disney is moving forward with their spinoff series called Raven's Home, and it will see the return of Raven-Symone and Anneliese van der Pol as Raven and Chelsea.

According to Deadline, Raven's Home is said to start production this month in Los Angeles, and the series is set to premiere later this year. This time around, Raven and Chelsea will be divorced mothers living under the same roof with their children; Raven with her twins Booker (Isaac Brown) and Nia (Navia Robinson), and Chelsea with her son Levi (Jason Maybaum).

The series looks like it will be focusing on Raven's daughter Nia who seems to have inherited her mother's psychic abilities, and has been getting glimpses of the future as well.

Actually, Raven's Home will not be the first show to spinoff from That's So Raven. When the show ended in 2007, the spin-off Cory in the House started airing, focusing on Raven's little brother Cory as he and his father move into the White House at Washington DC. That show didn't do as well as Raven though, getting cancelled after two seasons.

I actually had fun with That's So Raven when it came out. Though I didn't really find it funny in the final years of the show, some moments from old episodes can still make me laugh. Hopefully a new generation of kids will love Raven's Home.

Raven's Home comes out sometime later this year.
