Donnie Yen was one of the best parts of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so fans of that film will be happy to see in the live-action Mulan film. The news was confirmed by Deadline, confirming that the actor will be portraying a character who wasn't in the original animated film, which should be interesting, to say the least.

According to the report, Yen will play a character named Commander Tung, who has been described as a teacher and mentor to Mulan. Not much is known yet about this character but with Yen in the role, we can expect him to take part in a few cool fight scenes, assuming that the movie plans to have different scenes from the original animated classic.

It will be interesting to see how the public eventually reacts to this film since the other live-action remakes have gotten mixed reactions. Some people really liked 2016's Jungle Book, while there are those who wish they had never seen last year's Beauty and the Beast.

Mulan will hit theaters on March 27, 2020.
