Disney (via EW) has announced the release dates of 5 more unidentified live-action films on Monday.

The first live-action fairy-tale film will open in July 28, 2017, the second on fairy-tale film on April 6, 2018, and the third on December 20, 2019. Meanwhile, the two other untitled films not based on fairy tales will open on August 3, 2018 and December 25, 2018.

Current live-action films Disney has slated for release are Alice Through the Looking Glass on May 27, Pete's Dragon on August 12, and Beauty and the Beast on March 17, 2017.

Current Disney projects in development include Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle in Time, Tim Burton's Dumbo, Lasse Hallstrom's Nutcracker, Jon Favreau's Jungle Book sequel, Cruella starring Emma Stone, Jungle Cruise starring The Rock, a Mary Poppins sequel starring Emily Blunt, a Maleficent 2 starring Angelina Jolie, and a Tinker Bell film starring Reese Witherspoon. It's highly likely that the release dates of five of the aforementioned films in development are the ones just announced by Disney.

The announcement comes in the wake of the success of live-action fairy-tale adaptations such as Maleficent and The Jungle Book at the box office. With both critics and audiences providing positive feedback on Disney's current live-action films, I don't see the genre ending anytime soon.
