Did Robert Downey Jr. Just Slip A Hint That Captain America and Iron Man Will Be in The Spider-Man Movie?

At Jimmy Kimmel Live last Monday night, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans appeared to promote Captain America: Civil War and share the first trailer, but they also had an interesting exchange. After Evans complained about how hot it was in Atlanta, Downey Jr. said "By the way, we are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I." Evans agreed, "I know, I'm ready, I'm ready."

When we heard this exchange, most of us thought that he meant that they're heading to Atlanta to shoot for Avengers: Infinity War, but glancing at Marvel Studios' schedule, the only upcoming Marvel film already set for Atlanta is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Both Thor: Ragnarok and Doctor Strange have confirmed filming locations elsewhere, besides Atlanta, so does that mean that Downey Jr. and Evans are going to be a part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Definitely not, since director James Gunn already said that Iron Man won't be part of the film, so it's very unlikely that Cap will also appear.

It's possible that they might be filming a non-Marvel film, but I think the most likely answer is the solo Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland, who will make his debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War. While doing his press for In the Heart of the Sea, Holland revealed that Spider-Man will primarily film in Atlanta. It's already been confirmed that the Marvel and Sony deal which allows for Peter Parker to appear in Marvel Studios films, and allows for Marvel Studios characters to show up in Spider-Man films. It would make sense if the two would return in the standalone film to prep him before officially joining the Avengers.

So would you like to see Iron Man and Captain America in the next Spider-Man film?
