Devil May Cry is Coming to Nintendo Switch This Summer

Well, here's something many of us never expected; Devil May Cry is coming to a Nintendo gaming console. Capcom announced that the original game will be on the Nintendo Switch later this summer, which has a lot of people happy about the news. Unfortunately, this is the only confirmed game in the series coming out on the Switch, with no signs of Devil May Cry 2 or DMC 3, which has fans confused.

Still, this is a game many wanted to come to the Switch and we are getting it. Hopefully, this leads to Capcom releasing the other games in this series on the Switch as well since they wouldn't be too taxing for the system, these being remastered versions of PS2 games after all.

The ports of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 prove that combat-oriented titles are a great fit for the Switch. Fans were happy to get those titles and they are now pretty pumped to get Capcom's beloved hack-and-slash action game on the system, even if it's only the first one for now. Let's hope we can get all the games in it, even the failed DmC: Devil May Cry reboot.

No specific release date for the Devil May Cry Switch port has been revealed, though Capcom did say that it would be coming out this summer. Judging by the info, this will likely be the HD version of the game from the PS4's Devil May Cry HD Collection.
