With Gamescom already in full swing, fans are being treated to a number of new announcements for several games.
Among these is Destiny, which is set to receive the Rise of Iron expansion sometime in September. Developer Bungie has confirmed that it will be rolling out a new collection for those who want to get into the world of Destiny.
"If you've missed out on any of the adventures that we've delivered to date, we're excited to announce Destiny – The Collection. Think of it as a loot crate that will help you bounce back into the action. This bundle contains everything we've ever released into the world Destiny, including Rise of Iron. It even has a consumable that will boost your character to combat-ready status."
Over the PlayStation Blog, the developer detailed the contents of the new collection. Included in the pack are some exclusive items, such as a map, a quest, and a ship.
The Quest is Show of Strength. The reward for the quest is the Timeless Tereshkova ship. Finally, the PvP map Icarus will be located in Mercury, specifically the Languid Sea.
Icarus is mid-sized that can be played in any 6v6 mode. It also features an outer perimeter that has a circular flow, long sightlines and close-combat environments. There's also a key aspect in the main chamber which has closing doors that can be a dangerous shortcut towards through the center of the map.
Check out some of the screenshots of the PlayStation Exclusive items for the expansion. For PS3 players, now may be the great time to move your Destiny game to the PS4. Apart from the confirmed split in progression between current-gen consoles and Legacy consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360, there's an upgrade path offered for the PS4.
Destiny – The Collection will be available for $40 via the digital store. Destiny Rise of Iron will be available on Sept. 20.
