Destiny 2 PC Will Be Tailored to PC Gamers

PC gamers finally got to rejoice alongside their PlayStation and Xbox with news of Destiny 2--because the sequel is now coming to this platform.

There's more good news however, as developer Bungie also confirmed that Destiny 2's PC version will not be a port of what's coming to the consoles. Speaking to GameSpot, community manager David Dague shared that the PC version will be built from the ground up. The goal is to incorporate different types of features specific to PC gamers, so that it will be fluid and organic on the platform.

"We have heard so much feedback from PC gamers that they would love to see Destiny 2 on PC. The opportunity to welcome them into the Destiny community is something that I can't wait for. Being able to welcome a new segment, a new frontier into our community is awesome. I'm sure they will bring their own unique perspectives. We're going to learn all about this game that we created all over again from a different point of view. We will grow and evolve that experience based on what they tell us."

This is pretty good news, as it shows how Bungie is serious in ushering in a whole new community in the Destiny playing field. What's even more interesting is the possibility that Destiny 2 on PC may be the best version, if only because it may be untethered by frame rate caps and limited features as its console counterparts.

Destiny 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One first this September. For the PC version, it will arrive a month later.
