The third episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2's Entertainment District arc didn't waste any time in giving us what we have been waiting for. Episode 10 finally revealed the mysterious demon that Tengen Uzui and the young Demon Slayers have been looking for. In addition to that, we got to see not just one but TWO major villains in this week's episode!
Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10 opened with a flashback scene that brought us back to the Yoshiwara red-light district Tokyo was still known as Edo. A woman confronts an Oiran, demanding to know what she has done. The Oiran simply smiles and attacks and the other woman vanishes from the room.
Fast-forward to the Yoshiwara red-light district during the Taisho era where a mysterious voice interrogates Makio as she is bound by an obi. Inosuke investigates and tries to go after the demon that has taken Uzui's wife but he is interrupted by a client who has come to the Ogimoto House. The demon manages to escape to her own brothel where she encounters Zenitsu trying to comfort a young servant in her room.
Zenitsu immediately realizes that the Oiran Warabihime is a demon and stops her from punishing the servant. The offended demon was not pleased, immediately striking Zenitsu and rendering him unconscious. It is at this moment that we are brought back to the events two days earlier where Warabihime murdered the mistress of Kyogoku House and was visited by Muzan Kibutsuji who called the oiran Daki. He also praises her for killing seven Hashiras in the past and suggests that Demon Slayers are coming to Yoshiwara.
It's great to finally see Daki in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10 and we're happy to learn more about the dangerous Upper Rank demon. But will the other Demon Slayers realize that she has taken Makio and Zenitsu before it's too late? The truth will be revealed next week.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 11 is titled Tonight ("Konya"). The fourth episode of the anime's Entertainment District arc will air on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 11:30 PM JST.
