Death Note Light Up the New World Gets New Clip Preview

There's a new clip out for Death Note Light Up the New World. And while it's barely half a minute long, it shows the Shinigami Eyes in action.

For those who aren't familiar with this, the Shinigami Eyes is a power granted to a Death Note Holder in exchange for half of their remaining lifespan. The tradeoff, however, is very useful, since it will give the Death Note Holder the power to see the person's name and lifespan.

We see Sakura Aoi (Rina Kawaei) using the power of the Shinigami Eyes on the streets. And after taking note of the person's name on the Death Note, he keels over, much to the horror of the crowd.

To get you hyped up even more, why not go through the original manga series once more? But now, you can do that in one sitting—or at least, with just one big compilation volume. Yes, all 2,400 pages of it.

The new project is basically a compilation of the entire Death Note masterpiece from Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Anime News Network reported.

You'll have quite the incredible time turning the pages over considering how thick the compilation is. But it certainly saves space on your shelf. For those who have already read the original manga will be happy to know that the new release will include a special unpublished story, so that's something to look forward to.

Death Note Light Up The New World will be out on Oct. 29 in Japan. It stars Masaku Suda, Sousuke Ikematsu, Mashiro Higashide, and Mina Fujii. Erika Toda will be back as Misa Amane, while Shidou Nakamura will voice Ryuk once again. Miyuki Sawashiro will also be coming in as a the new voice of the white Shinigami Ama.
