Deadpool's Hogwarts House is Hufflepuff, and It's "Deliberate Deadpool Canon"

A week ago, a comic page was posted online that features Deadpool dressed as a Harry Potter fan. The page shows the Merc With A Mouth waiting in line for the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Before he gets a chance to read the book, a jerk drives by in a car and spoils the novel's ending to him, and he's clearly devastated. Of course, Deadpool makes him pay the price.

As you can see, Deadpool is wearing yellow and black, and Potterheads know that those are the colors of Hufflepuff. Nick Filardi, the colorist of the issue, said on Reddit that was done in purpose, revealing the story behind the decision to make Deadpool a Hufflepuff.

"Fun fact: I'm the colorist for that story and originally made him a Gryffindor. We went back and forth on a couple rounds of corrections and the editors insisted Hufflepuff. That isn't a casual joke. That's deliberate Deadpool canon."

When asked the reason why he wanted to make Deadpool a Gryffindor, he said:

"I just assumed you know.... bravery? Takes guts to do what Deadpool does."

The values of Hufflepuffs -hard work, patience, dedication- may not exactly align with Deadpool's savagery, but I think his sense of humor is enough to classify him as one.

It's good to see two awesome fandoms collide in this comic:
