Deadpool Sequel Has Been Greenlit By Fox, and Cable Will Be A Part of It!

It looks like the 20th Century Fox is so confident in Deadpool's performance in the box office that the studio reportedly green-lit a sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter,Deadpool screenwriters Rhet Rheese are currently writing a script for the sequel. I expected Deadpool to get a sequel, but I didn't expect they'd announce it this early.

There's no word on whether or not Tim Miller will return to direct the sequel, but the report states that Fox is planning to keep the Deadpool creative team together to give us a spectacular sequel. And with Ryan Reynolds dedication to keep playing the Merc With A Mounth, I'm sure he'd return in the sequel as well.

When Miller talked about the sequel, he talked about what he would like to see in it, and one of those things is the inclusion of Deadpool's frenemy Cable. "If we don't put Cable in ‘Deadpool 2,' I think we'll be run out of town on a rail." That's going to be an exciting sequel, but let's get hyped to see the first one first, when it hits theaters this week.

Deadpool will be released in US theaters on Feb. 12.
