Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld Praises Zazie Beetz As Domino

Atlanta actress Zazie Beetz has just recently been cast as Domino for Deadpool 2, and she'll be starring alongside Ryan Reynolds and a yet to be cast actor for Cable. Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has actually praised Beetz' work on the role and applauds her spectacular chemistry with Reynolds.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Liefeld explains:

"Domino is all about, as an actress and as the character that is going to be on the screen you already allude to it, it's all about the sass. You gotta understand, your gonna go up against Wade Wilson, who is, in this movie is Ryan Reynolds and trust ... I'm telling you, having been around Ryan multiple times that mouth cannot be stopped. He ... it's point ... I don't think he can say the jokes as fast as they are backed up in his head. So, you need ... some of these people be like ‘oh hey, this girl should have been Domino, and pick out actress a through ‘ and I'd be like ‘I'm not sure that they can keep up with him' and ‘oh my gosh, I'm not sure that Ryan's gonna keep up with her.' I think Ryan Reynolds is gonna have to work hard to keep up with Zazie. I mean, wow. You just go ‘That chemistry is going to be spectacular.' And that's what it comes down to is the chemistry with these characters."

Liefleld then goes on to compare casting Beetz to that of Morena Baccarin in the first Deadpool movie. He puts a great emphasis on the actresses having to catch up to Reynolds verbally, and that's exactly what Beetz is said to excel at.

As of now, Liefeld is very happy with the casting, and thinks that a lot of fans will absolutely love Domino in the movie. Liefeld says:

"That role is going to be adored by fans. Get ready to see Domino's all over your convention floor. I already see a lot of Domino's at conventions, but because she, honestly she's a really fun but relatively simple cosplay I would get ready for a lot of her."

Now I'm pretty hyped to see how Domino plays out onscreen. I'm just curious on whether Vanessa (Baccarin) will still be part of the sequel. She is Wade's "true love" after all, but we haven't been hearing anything about her return.

Deadpool 2 is still in pre-production, and the movie will hopefully hit theaters sometime early 2018.
