We all know that Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld was really happy to have Josh Brolin come on board as Cable, and his enthusiasm just keeps on showing online. Liefeld has posted a sketch on Instagram of Brolin playing the time-travelling mutant, and it looks pretty cool.

Here's the post:

Granted his rendition of Brolin may look a tad too young compared to the actor today, but it's still pretty cool to have an idea what he would look like as Cable — from the character's creator no less! That's like getting cast in Star Wars and having George Lucas post up a drawing of you on his Instagram page.

Brolin looks to be pretty busy now that he's part of two cinematic universes. Aside from playing Cable in Deadpool 2, he'll also be playing the MCU's ultimate villain, The Mad Titan Thanos. It's kind of cool how he's actually able to play both a villain and a hero for his comic book roles.

Deadpool 2 is directed by David Leitch and stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, and Morena Baccarin. No specific release date has been set, but expect the movie to come out early 2018.
