Deadpool And Aquaman Become Twitter’s Top Films Going Into SDCC

San Deigo Comic-Con International's just begun and it looks like 20th Century Fox's Deadpool 2 and Warner Brothers' Aquaman have become the most tweeted films of 2018 heading into the convention.

Right before SDCC gets into full swing, Twitter has just announced the most tweeted-about films heading into the convention (via Screen Rant) and it looks like the 2018 films Deadpool 2 and Aquaman have managed to get into the top 3 spots while last year's Thor: Ragnarok sits at top 2.

Here are the top five films heading into SDCC:

1. Deadpool 2

2. Thor: Ragnarok

3. Aquaman

4. Avengers: Infinity War

5. Star Wars

Twitter's also announced the top five different television shows heading into the convention.

You can check them out down here:

1. Timeless

2. Supernatural

3. The Walking Dead

4. Doctor Who

5. Riverdale

Of course, it doesn't come as a surprise that Deadpool 2 and Aquaman have become 2018's most tweeted about films ahead of SDCC. 20th Century Fox just recently released a series of SDCC Deadpool 2 home release promos, and the studio's been giving out a lot of Merc with a Mouth booty gaskets to go along with it. Meanwhile, Warner Brothers has been busy marketing Aquaman, giving out new look photos and posters right before SDCC. The studio's also planning to drop the DC Extended Universe installment's very first trailer at this year's SDCC.

What is surprising however is how Thor: Ragnarok made its way to the top 2 spot on Twitter. The film released last year, and so far there haven't been any promos. Guess people just really like talking about the movie on Twitter.

Aquaman makes its way to cinemas on December 21, 2018.
