Deadpool 2: Ryan Reynolds Gives Us First Look At Josh Brolin’s Cable

He's finally here. After months of teasing and speculation, we finally get to have out first look at Josh Brolin's Cable from Deadpool 2 thanks to Ryan Reynolds. Check him out:

Sure there have been more radical designs of the character, but this one seems to be faithful enough to the comic version of Cable, complete with glowing eye and mechanical arm. You also have to love Reynolds' caption at the bottom.

After the first images of Zazie Beetz's Domino came out, a lot of fans have been curious as to when they were going to get their first look at Cable. After all, Cable had been teased way back with the post-credits scene of the first Deadpool movie. Let's just hope director David Leitch knows how to handle the character.

To those who don't know, Cable is the son of Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops, and Madleyne Pryor—a clone of Jean Grey created by Mister Sinister. With Cable's comic origin being very complicated, it's said that the movie version's backstory will be simplified to fit the narrative better. What's really important is that they stay true to the character like they did with Deadpool.

Besides Nate Summers and Domino, Deadpool 2 will also see the return of characters Weasel, Blind Al, Vanessa, and the cab driver Dopinder.

Deadpool 2 comes out June 1, 2018.
