Deadpool 2 Reportedly Wraps Up Production After Less Than 3 Months Time

It's been barely three months since Deadpool 2 started principal photography late in June but it seems like production on the raunchy R-Rated superhero movie's closed its curtain in record time.

Word has it that Drew Goddard has been brought in to direct 20th Century Fox's X-Force spinoff, and in its article reporting the matter, Deadline also claims that Deadpool 2 has wrapped filming. It usually takes comicbook movies a lot of time to finish principal photography, and it comes as a surprise that the Deadpool sequel would end production so soon.

Deadpool 2 shot quite a number of outdoor scenes during its principal photography and fans got to see a lot of set photos of the upcoming movie. Not only did the leaked set images show Ryan Reynold's merc with a Mouth crashing a children's party, but they also gave fans at look at Zazie Beetz Domino in action as well as Josh Brolin's version of Cable.

Deadpool 2 however isn't the only 20th Century Fox film to finish production early. The publication also reveals that work on the New Mutants has also come to an end, a few months after production started in July.

With such short productions, Deadpool 2 and New Mutants have more time to work on post and to do reshoots if ever needed.

New Mutants makes its big debut on April 13, 2018. Deadpool 2 releases not long after on June 1, 2018.
