Deadpool 2 was filled with Easter Eggs and cameos, but probably one of the most unexpected appearances was from A-list celebrity Brad Pitt who played Vanisher. Apparently, the cameo was never supposed to exist, but Ryan Reynolds insisted on getting the most difficult person to cameo for the film.

Talking to CinemaBlend, co-writer Paul Wernick shared:

"The cameo for Vanisher was last minute. You never saw Vanisher on screen in the original script, and then getting caught up in the electricity wires and seeing the sparks, and then Ryan had the idea, 'Oh my God, perfect celebrity cameo. Let's go after the hardest celebrity cameo we can get.' And that's Brad Pitt!"

Apparently, Pitt was very cool about appearing in the film, but demanded that Ryan Reynolds himself get him coffee. Co-Writer Rhett Reese shares:

Reese: We shot in about a half an hour. It was quite a production. It was like a full crew for a half an hour, and Brad agreed to do it for scale, plus a cup of coffee. And then he was really specific about the coffee - said, 'I want this exact coffee from Starbucks, and, Ryan, I want you to deliver it to me.'

Wernick: And Ryan did deliver it!

Reese: We got the coffee, Ryan came in and gave it to him. It was hilarious because he kind of forgotten that he asked for it. It was really funny. And then we shot it in about a half an hour.

Granted everyone in the X-Force technically had cameo roles, it was still pretty cool for Pitt to appear in a film at all. Hopefully we get a better, more permanent team by the time the actual X-Force movie rolls in.

Besides Pitt, it's also worth noting that Matt Damon was snuck into the movie as well. He's one of the hillbillies that Cable steals a car from. The other redneck was played by Firefly actor Alan Tudyk.

Relive Pitt's cameo as Vanisher in Deadpool 2, now in theaters.
