Deadpool 2: Brianna Hildebrand On Test Screening Reactions

Anticipation for Deadpool 2 has turned into anxiousness, thanks to the confirmation of reshoots and a seemingly false report that claimed test audiences didn't like the film. It left a lot of fans feeling uneasy since many consider Deadpool to be the only good thing going for Fox right now and they want the sequel to be just as good, if not better.

Thankfully, Deadpool 2 actress Brianna Hildebrand has shot down those rumors during a recent interview.

Hildebrand, who reprises her role as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, spoke with Screen Geek about the reshoots. While she didn't go into too much detail, correctly claiming that people freak out over reshoot news. The actress claimed that the test screenings went well and that the reshoots would add more of the things audiences liked during those shows.

"No, it was nothing that had gone wrong. I think it's a common misconception too – that people think that reshoots are to fix things that people didn't like. A lot of the time, reshoots are to add more of the things that people loved. [Filmmakers] watch their films again and are like "better fix that". I don't know how much I can say about that. Usually films hate it when you talk about their reshoots – solely because people think that it's because the film was bad for the test audience – but it was all good."

If true, this is a solid follow up to previous reports that claimed the test audiences really liked Cable and Domino, so the reshoots would add more of those characters. Fans are hoping that the two leave an impact and make it to the hotly rumored X-Force film. Some even see this film as the prelude to X-Force but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Deadpool 2 comes out on May 18.
