DCEU’s Flashpoint Rumored To Be Linked With Shazam!

Warner Bros. has a lot of plans for the DC Extended Universe, and rumor has it that the studio's planning a pretty ambitious move for Billy Baston's live-action movie, Shazam.

According to Movie Hole, Warner Bros. plans to tie Shazam! with the DCEU's Flashpoint. Though the film's production is currently at its earliest stages, the studio's already started doing screentests on young actors to play the role of Billy Batson.

Now, new the report claims that Ezra Miller's Barry Allen might appear in the film or at least be referenced in the movie.

"Speaking of "The Flash", it would seem the time-altering antics in his debut flick "Flashpoint" will have an effect on this one – and other DC films – but remains to be seen just how much. Fun idea to have the new crop of DC films find themselves slightly modified by the speedster's actions."

Though it's difficult to imagine how Shazam! would crossover with the DCEU's Flashpoint, fans know that Flash's universe altering arc could create a few changes for the franchise. There's no telling how far Flashpoint might change the films following its release, but it's interesting to think of all the different possibilities.

Flashpoint doesn't have a release date just yet but Shazam! is scheduled to premiere on March 8, 2019.
