David Harbour: We Probably Won't Get Stranger Things 3 Till 2019

This year saw another successful season of Stranger Things, and a lot of people are excited for what's in store for the Season 3. Bad news though, as it looks like we'll have to wait till 2019 to follow the continuing adventures of Mike and the gang.

David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper, told Variety:

"I mean, one of the things that's annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them. Like, you probably won't get [Season 3] until sometime in 2019. But also part of the thing is, like any good thing, they need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day."

Stranger Things won't be the only series taking it's time for release. Game of Thrones, which also had a stellar season this year, is said to be taking extra care with the last season of the show, and production is said to be so extensive that a release should be expected 2019 as well.

Hopefully, the Duffer Brothers will have something cool in store for the next season. As good as these shows go, I'm always worried how they will manage to up the ante for the following season. So we have the gate closed, and the Mind Flayer looming in the background, how exactly can those come back in Season 3 without feeling repetitive?

Until we get some official confirmation from the showrunners, we can probably still get Stranger Things 3 next year. For now, we can just check out the first two seasons on Netflix.
