David Harbour Wants Everyone To Stop Bothering Ron Perlman About Hellboy

While a lot of people loved Ron Perlman as Hellboy, there's nothing they can do about the incoming reboot starring Stranger Things' David Harbour. A lot of people seem to be bothering Perlman about not being in the movie, and Harbour himself has come out to ask everyone to stop asking him about the movie.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Harbour says:

"It was funny because when it came about I reached out to him and I was like, ‘This is weird.' And he totally understood and knew what was up. And we went out to dinner with my buddy Patton Oswalt, we had a conversation. He's an amazing guy and super sweet was wishing me well. And then he says something like, ‘Just have fun.' Which is something I need to remember when I work because I'm so intense. And the other thing I will say for reporters everywhere, in honor of his request: stop asking Ron Perlman about the Hellboy reboot, please stop asking him about that. I get it. He's answered the questions. Leave the man alone!"

The way it looks, it seems that Perlman (and director Guillermo del Toro) have moved on and made their peace with the franchise. Though I'm sure a lot of fans will want closure with Perlman's version of the character, it looks like a lot of people are confident that this reboot is the way to go.

The Hellboy reboot is directed by Pete Marshall and stars David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian McShane as Dr. Broom, Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio, and Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen.

Hellboy hits theaters Jan. 11, 2019.
