Darren Aronofsky's ‘mother!’ Gets A New Poster With Javier Bardem

Like Christopher Nolan or Quentin Tarantino, Darren Aronofsky is a director who draws audiences in because he has a signature style and quality to his movies that everyone wants to see. His next upcoming project in entitled mother! (with a lowercase m and exclamation point), and it has a new poster with Javier Bardem at the very center of it.

Check it out:

I don't know about you, but I think the first poster with Jennifer Lawrence literally holding her heart out is still the more gruesome one, and knowing Aronofsky, mother! is going to be one hell of a disturbing ride.

The movie boasts a very impressive cast. Besides the inclusion of Lawrence and Bardem, mother! will also feature actors like Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Kristen Wiig, Domnhall Gleeson, and his brother Brian Gleeson.

We still have no full details on the story, but it has been rumored that this movie will be based on Rosemary's Baby. We also have a very short synopsis that doesn't really say much:

A couple's relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.

With the way Aronofsky makes movies, I bet mother! is going to bring the same amount of darkness and paranoia that we got from hits like Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan.

mother! comes out Sept. 15.
