David Dastmalchian may not be a name that many fans recognize, but the actor has already popped up in prominent movies like Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight and Marvel's Ant-Man. News has come out that Dastmalchian has just landed a role in The CW's Flash series, and it's still unknown as to who he'll be playing.
Pictures of Dastmalchian in costume were spotted recently on the set of The Flash, and according to CBR, his character will be pursued by Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) in the episode. It's also interesting to note that Clerks director Kevin Smith was spotted on set; Smith already has two very well regarded Flash episodes under his belt, so it's no mystery that the producers are letting him get more involved with the series.

Dastmalchian had also posted a picture of himself preparing for the role on Instagram, and he's seen reading the comic, The Flash: Rebirth #15, with the cover featuring the villain Weather Wizard. Could this be a possible nod to the plot of the episode he's in? Most likely.
Dastmalchian is also no stranger to the DC Universe. Aside from starring in The Dark Knight, he's also recently appeared in an episode of Gotham, playing a fanatic who was obsessed with Jerome Valeska a.k.a. the proto-Joker. It's also funny to note that his character in Dark Knight was also a Joker thug who is attracted to the Joker's mindset.
The Flash airs Tuseday nights at 8 p.m. on The CW.
